Research Interests

Dr. Olu Owoeye is an associate professor at Saint Louis University and a sports physical therapist and injury epidemiologist. Dr. Owoeye directs the Translational Injury Prevention Lab at Saint Louis University. His research focuses on preventing sports and exercise injuries, promoting wellness, and implementation science in sports medicine. His work has been supported by major grants from organizations like the NBA and IOC, with over 75 publications in leading scientific journals.

Labs and Facilities

The Translational Injury Prevention Lab (TIP Lab) is based out of Saint Louis University. The TIP Lab is committed to advancing sports and exercise injury prevention and musculoskeletal health through high quality knowledge translation research and practical solutions that enhance the safety and wellbeing of athletes and active individuals worldwide.

Musculoskeletal Athletic Injury Prevention Online Training Course (MAP) for Coaches: Reducing Injuries and Enhancing Performance. MAP for Coaches is a novel eLearning tool for youth sports coaches to increase their knowledge regarding sports-related musculoskeletal injuries and best injury prevention practices towards reducing injuries and enhancing performance in youth sport athletes.
